The zoo just received three northern fur seals from Russia. In exchange, Brno will send a polar bear to the Rostov-on-Don zoo.
Northern fur seals are found along the northern Pacific Ocean. The animals are pretty rare as most zoos keep brown fur seals or California sea lions.
The Brno Zoo is now only the 6th zoo in the world to have these animals.
