2020 Hanukkah

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah.

Whilst I'm not Jewish I did grow up in California where there are plenty of mixed families that celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas.

Often called Hanumas or Christmakkah

So for those that celebrate the Festival of Lights...

!!חנוכה שמח Šťastnou Chanuku!!  Happy Hanukkah!!

2016 Christmas

Merry Christmas!  Happy Hanukkah!  This was the first time in almost 40 years since Christmas Eve and Hanukkah fell on the same day.

It's nice that the snow didn't melt so we actually got a White Christmas this year.

Thanks to FaceTime and a 9 hour time difference I got to watch my niece and nephew open the gifts I sent them from Euroland.

Veselé Vánoce!!

Happy Thanksgivingkkah

Happy Thanksgiving!  Happy Hanukkah!  Therefore Happy Thanksgivingkkah!!

This is a once in a lifetime event.  Hanukkah and Thanksgiving won't happen on the same day again for another 80,000 years.

It's been a full day.  After work, I managed to find the sweet potatoes I need for our 5th annual Brno Thanksgiving feast.  I met up with some friends for a screening of Sunset Boulevard at Vila Tugendhat.

Tomorrow I pick up the turkey and start baking.  Let the madness begin...
