Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The Holocaust began in Germany and spread across Europe from 1933 to 1945.
During this time the Nazis established around 15,000 concentration, labor and death camps through most of Nazi-occupied territory. Among the most infamous were Auschwitz-Birkenau, Bełżec, Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Chełmno, Dachau, Jasenovac, Maly Trostenets, Majdanek, Mauthausen-Gusen, Natzweiler-Struthof, Ravensbrück, Sachsenhausen, Sobibor, Stutthof, Terezín, and Treblinka.
Never forget and never again.
